Scummvm files are greyed out4/6/2024 ![]() If I just have ~/RetroPie/roms/scummvm as a local directory, and copy a game folder there, I can add the game and play normally. ![]() I have confirmed I have r/w access to the share: I can drop to a command line, read, create, edit, and delete files in that share without issue. I tried mounting the scummvm-extracted folder (where my games are) directly in ~/RetroPie/roms/scummvm, but got the same result. So, instead, I navigated to /mnt/ROMs/scummvm-extracted directly, and could indeed see all the folders for the games, and inside those folders all the files.Īttempts to add those games either one at a time in the specific folders, or via Mass Add, results in "ScummVM couldn't open the specified directory" (despite being able to see it's contents in the ScummVM file browser!) I suspect this is due to ScummVM itself having issues with links. However, upon linking ~/RetroPie/roms/scummvm to /mnt/ROMs/scummvm-extracted, installing ScummVM and launching +ScummVM GUI, I cannot navigate into /RetroPie/roms/scummvm - the folder is greyed out. This has worked thus far for every system. My process to date has been removing the directories in ~/RetroPie/roms/ and replacing them with links to the appropriate folders in /mnt/ROMs/ (the samba share). I've successfully added Arcade (via FBA), nes, snes, megadrive, etc with no problems - the share is mounted with user pi on the retropie having read and write permissions. All my roms - including my ScummVM games - are on a Samba share. I think the problem is that 'resiualvm.exe' is doing one thing, and Windows (v.10-1803) is fighting.Ĭ:\Users\acer\AppData\Roaming\ResidualVM\residualvm.Ok, I'm trying to add my ScummVM games to RetroPie. I've tried several different strategies, but nothing's worked. ![]() Also, there's the obvious problem that 3-quarters of the "Myst Exile" image is missing. That would be fine, but I couldn't get the end of the finger on screen. When "Myst Exile" is scaled up to 3840x2160, it winds up being 4 times the size of the (almost invisible) finger in the Upper screenshot. Imagine the "Myst Exile" scaled up to 3840x2160 (to be the same size as the Upper screenshot). It's not scaled properly, and it's only the southwest quarter (i.e., 1920x1080) of what it should be (that is then scaled up for the display, but obviously not scaled up for the screenshot). Things are indeed bigger, but look at "Myst Exile". These are the 3, side-by-side screenshots when the 'residualvm.exe' is set to System DPI. These are 3, side-by-side screenshots of 'residualvm.exe' Property sheet, 'residualvm.exe' running on its own, and "Myst Exile". I've attached 2 groups of 3 screenshots each (reduced by 50% to allow upload). Hope this helps someone! Nice thought, and kind of you to post it. ![]() *At first this was greyed out for me, so in the main Compatibility menu, I had to select Change settings for all users at the bottom and return to Change high DPI settings. I knew right away that this was a high DPI issue and to fix it, I navigated to GOG Galaxy/Games/Myst 3/residualvm, residualvm.exe (right-click), Properties, Compatibility, Change high DPI settings, and checked* the High DPI scaling override box at the bottom and selected System in the drop-down menu. DecafToaster: For those who are using 2160p monitors/televisions, you may have noticed that your cursor in-game is very small.
